Crystal clear seas, golden sands and blazing sunshine are often what spring to mind when you think of the Caribbean. But there's so much more to be discovered. The Cayman Islands are host to a swathe of endemic reptiles, found nowhere else in the world, many of which are threatened due to invasive species. I was very lucky to spend three weeks on the Sister Islands surveying for cryptic reptiles as part of a project which is looking to build capacity to tackle invasive species and protect native wildlife.
